Artist Biography

Danila Rumold was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She received her BA in Painting from DePaul University and was in an independent study program at the Art Institute of Chicago. Rumold received her MFA in Painting from the University of Washington. Rumold taught drawing, design and color, printmaking and mural painting at Seattle University, where in the summer of 2007 she was resident director and instructor for a drawing/painting program in Siena, Italy. In March, 2009 she received an artist grant to participate in the Vermont Studios residency program and in August 2010 she was awarded an artist grant from the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust Foundation. Currently Rumold has her own business building websites for artists and galleries. Mrs. Rumold has exhibited her work in Seattle, Oregon, San Francisco and Chicago. She has work in both private and public collections and is currently represented by the Gallery I|M|A, in Seattle Washington and has work on consignment at SFMOMA Gallery at Fort Mason. Her work is also featured on BayVan, a bay area visual artists registry.
